What Does a Logbook Service Include?

A logbook service follows the maintenance schedule developed for the vehicle. The required work changes according to age, kilometres, engine, transmission and operating conditions.

Routine service items

Most services include engine oil and filter replacement plus inspections of tyres, brakes, lights, fluids, steering, suspension, belts, hoses and visible leaks. Additional items such as air filters, cabin filters, spark plugs, fuel filters, brake fluid and transmission fluid become due at specified intervals.

Why the correct specification matters

Modern engines and transmissions often require precise fluid specifications. Using the correct lubricant and parts is important for performance, emissions systems and service life.

Keep clear records

The service history should record the date, kilometres and work completed. This supports future diagnosis, resale value and maintenance planning.
